This was my entry for a magazine cover design contest at kirupa.com.
As a CG enthusiast, i guess this magazine was what naturally came to my mind as an entry. CG Artists aims to satisfy the wants of the contemporary CG artist, offering both 2D and 3D content. Well, designing was not exactly easy. Done 100% in photoshop and it took me hours to get the layout right.
About the 'Making Scrat tutorial', I found it funny to make Scrat himself stare at his tutorial. About the CD pouch, it is no photo
. The CD underneath was designed first. Pouch was done by placing a semi-transperent layer over it. Then a blur filter to the part of the CD inside the pouch (pretty nifty, eh.?
)
